As a business, there are a few basic steps you need to take to make sure your business is set up correctly. I have created a road map that will help you make sure your business is is set up properly. Some of the topics include: picking your legal structure, how to set up your LLC, how to apply and receive your federal employment identification number, opening a business bank account, using a credit card in your business, setting up and paying your estimated taxes.
A FREE QUICKBOOKS ONLINE ACCOUNT
This is the account where all of your monthly bookkeeping will take place. You will have full access to you QuickBooks account.
The bookkeeping for your business will be done each month. You will receive monthly financial reports that you can use to make informed monthly decisions for your business. Having access to the reports means you will always have the information you need to calculate and pay your quarterly estimated taxes as well as all the reports you need to prepare and file your yearly tax return.

There are so many moving parts to running a business. Having the right tools cuts down on the time and the frustration you may experience when trying to gather all the business information you need to make informed decisions, grow your business, and allocate & diversify your profits. MONTHLY LIVE Q&A CALLS
Our monthly Q&A calls will be held in form of a Zoom meeting. During our live monthly Q&A’s, I will answer questions that members have. Members can either pre-submit their questions or ask their questions live during the call. All Q&A sessions will be recorded so if you aren’t able to attend a live session, you can watch or listen to the call at your convenience.

Now that your books are in order and are being maintained on a monthly basis, there is no excuse for why you are not able to file your tax return on a timely basis each year. Hopefully you are keeping up with your quarterly estimated tax payments so that by the time your return is due you’ve already paid your taxes and now all you have to do is prepare and submit your return. As a member of the program you will receive 50% off your yearly tax preparation. My tax preparation fee is between $450 & $500 (it can be more depending on the complexity of your return) which means you will pay between $225 & $250.

My name is Desarie Anderson. I am a former hair salon owner and independent stylists. Before changing career’s and becoming an Accountant, I worked in the beauty industry for 22 years.
I have now merged my extensive knowledge of the beauty industry with my experience as a Certified Public Accountant and I now work mainly with beauty industry professionals, mostly independent stylists and salon owners, helping them understand, organize, and manage their business and personal finances.
Having a background in the hair and salon space gives me a slight advantage over accounting professionals that do not have the experience of the day-to-day operations of a salon or rental space.

Can I cancel my subscripton at anytime
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your cancellation will become effective during the next billing cycle.
What happens after I join the membership site?
After you join the site, you will have access to all the tools, services, and material that are part of the site. You will also receive an email from me requesting all the documents I will need to begin setting up your QuickBooks account.
Can I get one-on-one help and support with my questions and concerns
Part of creating this site was to help independent stylists and salon owners with their tax, accounting, bookkeeping, and business needs in a community setting. The idea is to ask general questions in an open forum so that other members can benefit from your question and the answer. You can, however, send me a private message if you have a question that is of a private nature. The goal is to keep all communication within the membership site. I discourage sending emails because I’m afraid that your email might get lost in the email shuffle and I might not see your questions. There will be a live Q&A session every month for all questions and concerns you have about your business
I already have a QuickBooks Online Account, can I use my account or do I have to start a new account
In order to be part of the membership site, you would have to start a new account. I can, however, transfer the information from your old account to your new account if all transactions have been properly recorded.
Are all your services covered by my monthly subscription
Although a vast number of my services are covered by the membership plan, there will be times when a service you need may not be part of the plan. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Who qualifies to be a part of the membership plan?
The plan is open to all salon professionals
Is there a separate set up and catch up fee to set up my QuickBooks online account and to catch up prior months?
There is no setup fee, but there is a catch-up fee. The catch-up fee covers your bookkeeping for the previous months prior to joining the program. The catch-up fee is $750. The fee is waived for the first eight members to join the program and for members that purchase the yearly subscription plan.
Do you offer discounts or specials?
If you opt for the yearly subscription, you receive a $600 yearly discount. The catch-up fee valued at $750 is also waived for yearly subscribers. I only run specials on prior month catch up work.
